Who We Are And Why
Bar Nothing Books is an independent publishing company with all the tools of any professional publisher, but with a different mission. Our goal is to provide support to writers, but without the editorial and creative restrictions often imposed by large, commercial publishing houses. To this end, we lend our publishing apparatus to writers free of charge. We also provide as much advice and encouragement as we can. Working under the Bar Nothing Books imprint, a writer can control as much of the publishing process as he or she wants, outsourcing functions he or she chooses, but never surrendering the power of deciding the final outcome of the book.
A writer who borrows the Bar Nothing Books publishing company imprint assumes all the risks and the rewards that go with the use of any powerful tool. The value of the instrument depends entirely on the skill with which it is used, and the success or failure of the book rests, as it should, entirely with the author.
