Thanks so much, Lynne. I should do more posts about what we are reading. We're reading Kon-Tiki right now. She says she loves to hear about other people's adventures since she's not having any more adventures herself.

Wow! Those beavers are good! It's almost as if they had learned their lesson from the first broken dam. I'm so glad to here that the beavers were left alone and allowed to stay.

Ruth-I happened upon your page as a 'click' on another page on FB. (Yes, I know.. it sounds like I was on an adventure doesn't it?)

I am so glad that I clicked!
I loved reading a bit about your books and ,your endeavors.
Writing (something I do as well) is not quite the glamorous life that some people think. But in moments like this, when you read someone's words and you just feel heart-connected, I am so thankful to be a writer AND a reader.

Blessings to you always and please continue to write!
I look forward to reading The Simple Life!

Dear Samantha, I hope your brother decides to have some chickens. I love them. They are interesting creatures, and it's so nice to have animals around. You can get all kinds of fancy varieties that are beautiful too. If he would like to ask me any questions about raising chickens, I would be glad to try to answer them. Give him my e-mail if you think he would like to have it.

Super creative, Ruth! You continue to show me, first in your books and now in your blog posts, that farm life is nothing like I imagine it to be. =) There's actually a new law in Vancouver that allows us to own 4 chickens maximum in the city -- my brother's seriously considering it, so we've been talking all about chickens these days and he'll love this post! =) Can't wait to share it with him!

Ruth, you are my hero in so many ways. Not only in the way you handled all the publishing for your books yourself, but also for your kind-hearted soul. Thank you oh so much for this offer! Heading over to send you an email right now!
